Fresh, straightforward, fairly light, and thoroughly enjoyable. Some cherry bubblegum on the nose along with a bit of spice and earthiness. It starts with bright, young cherries, then adds an undercurrent of rhubarb on the mid-tongue. Excellent acidity. The finish is mid-length and peppery. Very pleasurable, and very easy to drink a whole bottle without realizing it. Right at the peak of its drinkability.

Initially some earth on the nose, with a floral note. Becomes richer and more perfumed as it aerates, with waves of humus and forest floor. In short, a delight on the nose, real autumnal Pinot character. On the palate, red and dark berries, good lift, with a mid-palate suggestion of rosewater. Earth and mineral elements take over on the finish. Soft tannins. Excellent entry-level Burgundy, really shines in this vintage.

While definitely past it's best, still some bright raspberry notes and good acidity.
