imagine Don Gonzalo (smoldering sour root sap) blended with El Candado (400 g/L drinkable sugar). There were times when this bottle of Isabela was lost in neither expression of its parents. Tonight, from the remains of an open pantry bottle, it beams with flavors of walnut, anise/pruneaux jam, west African comida, steel baking sheets, salted nougat, and toasted almonds.

A clean balanced sweet Sherry with intense expression and complexity. Aroma and flavor of raisin, orange peel, chocolate, nuttiness, mushroom and bread.

Nose: Dry fruits and some mushrooms. Mouth: Medium viscosity. Again dry fruits and the sweetness is nicely buffered by a combination of the expected alcohol and surprisingly present acidity. Long finish.

Consistent with previous note. Plenty of figs and datiles.
