A very solid sangiovese with one foot in the old world and one in the new, that -- while elegantly made -- never really brings the sum of its parts into greater than the whole.
Worth trying but not worth the tariff, overall.

One of the best wines I ever tasted, with elegance and power in perfect balance, sweet tannins and just the right acidity. Layers of complexity are paving the road to a very long and very pleasant finish. Aged 36 months in concrete egg Nomblot, the feeling is of Burgundian style with the Sangiovese touch. The vines are the oldest of the estate, from the Palmina vineyard.

Enjoyed it more tonight than before. Great with roast lamb. Red fruit, maybe a hint of dark, some faint licorice and herbs. Very elegant and balanced.
