  • loved this one, my personal favorite from the series. definitely decant.
on the first day quite spicy and a bit dusty. on the second day it releases all the fruits and it's like eating a salted lemon. hints of other tropical fruits like mango, delicious and best on day 2.

  • Medium lemon in the glass. Chardonnay at its purest here with notes of melon, peach, citrus. No oak detected. Medium-bodied, not too much acidity (which is a trademark of Andreas’ wines), alcohol well-balanced. Not the most complex and exciting Salamander I’ve tried, but definitely one that is easy to enjoy.

  • E1 belated bday celebration at Wimborne. Much better showing than the last bottle. Pop and poured. Drank in Riedel Riesling stemless.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow lemon colour. Thin legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of light toast oak, citrus lemon-lime, yellow peach, pond pebbles and rocks minerality. Some green mangoes with more air. Developing.
On the palate, dry, high dipping to medium+ acidity, medium- alcohol (12.5%), medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of lemony citrus fruits, light toast oak, touch of honey, ripe yellow peach, green mangoes. Salty wet pond pebble rocks minerality with more air. Long finish.
