Brought to a group tasting at Domaine storage. This is a chardonnay Seth makes by a solera system (fractional blending) with chardonnay juice going back to 2014.
White flowers, grapefruit, saffron, chalky minerality, and graham cracker on the nose. There is a slight richness as the wine first hits the palate, with lightly honeyed orchard fruit and ripe grapefruit, which is well-balanced by fresh acidity and seashell mineral tones that linger over a long finish. While this can certainly be aged for several years this is very drinkable and enjoyable now, and doesn't require a decant. Stunning juice.

I truly love Morgen Long, but this was a big disappointment. Couldn't even taste the wine over the sulfur, even on days 2 and 3.
