Community Tasting Notes (9) Avg Score: 91.4 points

  • No formal notes. Really good nose. Rather much oak in the taste. A rather thorough wine, that needs some more time to gain balance. For now: (90-)91.

  • Thanksgiving Week 2023; 11/19/2023-11/24/2023: Sister's selection. Decanted one hour. Pale-medium straw. Big whiff of petrol on the nose. My dad said carburetor cleaner. Everyone picked this up as well. After that, I got white flowers and some heat. On the palate it is certainly full bodied, creamy, acidic, with lime and tropical fruits. The second glass was served more chilled than the first and turned toward baked orchard fruits, especially apple. Long finish. In my brain the finish lasted for ages. I feel like I still "tasted" this wine 30 minutes after we finished the bottle. As another reviewer mentioned in a TN, this should be served chilled. Served before dinner. Average score of 87 from the fam.

  • Mildly, honeyed lemons, lime, mango, spice and flowers create the character here. On the palate, the wine is creamy, fresh and fruity with a juicy, finish that shows off its green apples, yellow citrus, and oily-textured pears easily. Drink from 2023-2031.

  • No notes taken but I very much agree with previous comments on this wine. Paired it with lobster ravioli and a green herbal velouté and the grassy, herbal notes in the wine were spot on as was the peachy sweetness in relation to the slightly sweet lobster meat.

  • French white wine from Pessac-Leognan: Sauvignon Blanc 70 % and Sémillon 30 %. 13,5 % alcohol. Aged for 9 months, on lees with stirring, in oak barrels (25 % in new oak).

    Decanted for one hour.

    Pale golden/grayish color.

Delicate aromas of vanilla, oak, exotic fruit, lemon, green herbs, green grass and minerals. Powerful flavors of boiled apples, lemon, peach, oak, smoke, honey and minerals.

Dry. Full body. Fresh acidity. Very good balance. Very good structure. Some complexity. Elegant. Airy.

Long finish with green grass and vanilla.

A very elegant white wine that improves with air and performs best when it’s fridge cold. Oak is present but very well integrated. Very approachable now but will improve with age. On the negative side there is a slightly watery feeling to the wine. 91/100
