This has some attractive elements and some off putting. Nice nose, strong, fruit forward entry. Artificial finish with sour elements. Probably lots of bottle variation due to the high production. Better out there for this appellation, vintage, and price point.

13.5% alcohol; composite cork aroma of berry-infused olive oil, cork is a short 42 mm (standard is 45 mm), maximum wine penetration is 8 mm; foil is medium to heavy weight; persistent long legs, dark red; opened, vinturied & tasted about 20 minutes later at 11 degrees C; fruit-forward nose of rhubarb, dark cherries, cassis (roter Johannisbeersaft); full bodied, as with the 2016 and 2020 24 Hands Chardonnays (see my CellarTracker reviews, 5/16/22, point score 80; and 12/20/21, point score 85), the sweetness seems to have been an afterthought, although in the Cab it is better integrated with the fruit and tannins; tannins remain in the background through the fruit-forward finish; this wine resonates with a number of possible food pairings, such as crockpot prepared thick beef stew, or mint-garnished dry marinated leg of lamb, served with sweet potatoes and green vegetables; it is much, much better than the 14 Hands Chardonnays

It was drinkable but there wasn’t much to it. I probably won’t buy this again.
