  • Relatively soft and lower in acidity and tannin. Still distinctly Barbaresco and by no means flat, but not a "classic" vintage. Still the usual elements are present with cherry fruit florals and an elegant finish.

  • Tuesday dinner in barbaresco in the excellent restaurant Rabaya. 17 sold out so testing the 18. Medium ruby color. Nice dusty nose, a bit of menthol, dry roses, blueberries, raspberries, a bit of mushroom, not very pronounced. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, Med flavor intensity, dry tannins, med finish. Dried berries, dry tannins, petal of roses, a bit of vanilla giving it a sweet touch, green pepper, nice salinity. Quite like it even if a bit sweet with the association of a medicinal sirop.
