Aromas of mild sous bois, bark, dried and fresh red cherries. Palate w dried black cherries, bark, and a hint of sous bois. Med+ body. Nice acids. Moderately short finish w some added medicinal notes. Nice acids.

Small glass the first night and it was so closed. Decanted the next day and it opened to a wonderful gritty fruit, fabulous nose and a good palate feel. Actually pretty good. Drink.

This wine has aged really well. Really mellow and smooth with nice secondary earthy flavors to go with the remnants of red fruits. The acid was slightly lacking but everything else was top notch. IMHO another proof that Calif. Pinot Noir has some aging potential at least up to 11 years.

Needs about a hour and half to wake up and reach full bloom. Beautiful and deep notes of fresh black cherries, black plums, violets, and wet soil. Cool and subtle fruit on the palate, medium weight, with a good deal of chalk infused acidity on the finish. Starts to flatten out by the third hour, however. Nonetheless, a very good wine that is drinking quite nicely at the moment.

Brick red in the glass. Age on the nose. Grenache-like nose of black tea, rose petal with currant and cinnamon stick. Earthy, with aromas of dried leaves, herb and bay leaf. Red raspberry on the palate. Still has fresh, youthful fruit. Cinnamon and herb (thyme, bay leaf), cedar, tea and flowers. Sweet and pretty, which was surprising given the nose. It's in a nice place now, so drink soon!
