  • This wine was excellent when first opened at a local restaurant and it was a good match to parmesan crusted whitefish with roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables. . Blackberry fruit dominates and the tannin is already smooth. The blackberry is very prominent in the absence of food and there is a distinct brambly dark fruit finish. I hesitate to say "sour cherry" because I might have been looking for it from the high Corvina grape content but maybe it is there? Regardless this is a good wine for cheeses and red meat.
