An impressive effort, this shows earth, tar, cinnamon, cloves and leather on the nose, with wild strawberry and rhubarb flavors emerging on the palate. A little brownish in color, but smelling and tasting quite young.

ripe strawberries, some earth and with air a whole lotta green and acid. flavors drop off mid palate and there is a bit of a harsh, sharp tannic finish. doubt whether more time will improve this wine. second tier burg.

Yujean Kang’s: Bay leaves, eucalyptus, asparagus, mint, stewed tomatoe notes to me; bit t’s, med + mth, dry and ruff t’s, muddy fin. Interesting, but not balanced rt.
