I had tried this wine earlier with friends but had not had the chance to fully evaluate it. Tonight I have, and it's fantastic. Deeply colored for a Beaune, certainly closed at first but quickly opens up like a tight bud soon revealing its full glory. Yes, still young but more than enjoyable now. What a treat!

Very good after a 3-hour decant. Fruit is on the darker end of the spectrum: black cherry and black plum, with faint hints of citrus rind, dark caramel, and cinnamon. Tannins are well-resolved and integrated. Drink now with a decant, or wait a couple of years.

Decanted and drank. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, cranberry and earth. Flavors of cherry, strawberry , cranberry and earth. Ends with a berry finish of 20-25 seconds. Rare burgundy I have had that is more new world than old world from the old world .

Pretty much what you'd expect. Pours beautiful translucent garnet. Aroma of cherries and underbrush. On the palate, light, ethereal cherry and cranberry fruit over earth and rotting autumn leaves. Slight herbal tinge in the finish.
While I get what the previous guy means when he says that this is New Zealand like, I think this is pure Beaune.
Lovely stuff.

We gave this a 4-hour decant and it was ready to go with our beef Bourguignon. It was pleasant and well-balanced.
