Meursault (Southside) 1er Cru vs Village, Mostly Blind (Hughes House - Chicago IL): Served double blind. Clearly an old Burgundy, I thought it a 1er Cru from a slightly older vintage, but when told it was Village level, then correctly thought 1985. Mature red cherry with soft (but present) tannins, woodsy spice, and as much earth as anything. Good+ weight for its level, good harmony.
