  Darker red in the glass then I was expecting. No bricking around edges noted. Open and then decanted, let sit 2 hrs before drinking Wine is showing well, all things are well in balance. Well put together but not the best V.R. I have had. May wait to drink the other bottles I have, however this may be in a good spot right now

On the palate: fantastic acidity to begin, but then rather hard, with hard candy and harsh, grainy tannin closing in quickly...this is just so rough on the finish...not elegant...we'll see what tomorrow brings.

  Pristine bottle and cork. Limited bricking. Took 10 hours to show out. Oak is in check, fruit is vibrant enough. Very nice but weirdly seems to be ok the downswing already...

  2005 Moillard Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Aux Malconsorts. Pale brick, amber edges; earthy, animal, red fruit, light spice nose; mid-body; balanced; red cherries and wood on the palate; fine texture; long balanced finish.
