I'm discovering Washington State merlot, and this one is nice but a little less interesting than the Red Diamond that happens to be 1/3 the price. Definite bright fruit on the nose with a bit of cigar box. Nearly opaque. Definite oak with medium spices. At $23US a bottle, not high on the QPR. Would definitely choose the Red Diamond over this!

Popped and poured. Not much on the nose. A nice little wine with no serious flaws. A little bit of cocoa and some red fruit. Decent balance, good QPR.

Surprisingly good for the price. Very smooth with cherry and some chocolate. Nice finish.

Not your average Merlot. That's why I like it. Strong on the coffee.
