  • For me, 2017 is one of the best, if not the very best vintage of Rudolf Fürst. Younger vintages are good, but have never been able to inspire me as much.

I can only repeat the tasting notes from two years ago. It's still dance-like, no fatigue at all, incredibly stimulating and a fun drink for sophisticated white wine enjoyment. We had a brilliant steinbeisser with it.

  • Fresh, zesty. Still a bit closed. A bit of a decant might help.

  • 13% Alc., pale yellow color.

On the nose pears, a little green, freshness.

Fresh acidity, but very natural (not aggressive or put on), harmonious and simply dancing on the palate. Ripe gooseberry, a touch lime connected with a perfect dose of sugar and flavors of fine barrique with vanilla. Only a very small touch reductive, the fruit can be clearly tasted. Even the soil, i.e. red sandstone, can be tasted and felt. Everything is natural and so drink animating. Goes very well with seafood we had today.

Already tried a couple of other wines from Fürst of the vintage 2017. For example the White Burgundy 'R'. Simply outstanding, like this wine as well.
