Cherry, raspberry, a touch of licorice, “a wiff of pastry as another commenter said, tannins a little grippy but not astringent. This wine is in a terrific place and full of energy.

Pronounced nose with strawberry, cherry and roses. My notes on an initial coravined sample also suggested a little spice and autumnal influence. The last of the bottle (drank the day after opening) finished with some lovely tar notes. Structurally this was in a really good place for me (though I have a love for the slightly bracing mouthfeel of a young nebbiolo even in the absence of food). Still I think the tannins are fine enough for this to be pleasurable for most and I'm sure time will sort it further. Was very pleased with this as I picked up a case on a bargain. 91/92

Dried strawberry nose. Excellent, restrained cherry fruit, bay leaf, herbs, powdery tannins and a hit of soil and chalk. Medium bodied, still very young. Excellent balance.

With an hour of air and some food next to it, this wine is in the beginning of a good drinking window. The fruit palate is strong with tart cherries and rose-like aromatics. Tannins are somewhere between fine and chunky and I expect them to relax. The wine is a little hot alcohol-wize but I'm betting will come into balance. All in all, medium-bodied Barolo; suggest another 2 years for 8 since vintage on this.

Drinking well now despite its young age. Cherry, raspberry, oak, grippy tannins and a slight smell of pastry? Age will make this better for sure but I'd want to get a better vintage
