  • 2nd time having this, pop and drink at the Morris

    Transparent bright ruby
On the nose is again just heaven… intense longan fruits and dates, roses, licorice
On the palate is more distant/ closed tbh this time
Really good acidity and wet stones
Slightly more firm tannins than I can remember from last time
    Med+ finish

Probably would benefit from decanting & not rushed - e.g. have another bottle to enjoy at the same time and wait lol

Look forward to revisit maybe in a few years if Morris still has it!!

  • I don’t just like this wine, I love it! There’s nothing like this! I completely agree with VAS19 on their assessment of this incredible wine.

  • Wow, Burgundian in the best possible sense. Intensity without weight. Some Syrah flavors too. Gorgeous and ready to go. Although not heading downhill either

  • Rather interesting wine, blind. Clean, structured, candied dark fruits, Nebbiolo-like minty, barnyard, smoky. Very well-made but more interesting than ah-ha delicious. 93-94

  • Right after the decant, this was quite shy and dark fruited, but thankfully the nose blossomed with air. After a few hours it was very expressive and floral with red cherries, a hint of barnyard, forest notes, and candied fruit. Nice acidity on the palate with good complexity and depth and lots of fruit (in particular cherry) and forest / sous bois flavors. Long finish. I really loved this wine and it kept getting better and better with air.
