Nicely aging value Chablis 2019 Marcel et Blanche Fèvre Chablis 1er Cru Fourchaume ($32 in 2022). Sharp mid-dark gold; honey, stone fruit, mineral nose; low-mid acids; mid-depth; semi-long, semi-lush stone fruit finish. 16-16.5/90-91. w/scallops.

Insanely pure with seashell and copious lime zest. Deeply mineral with a generous (for a Chablis) palate reflecting the ripeness of 2019. Still quite precise and focused. Long and mouthwatering with lovely acidity and surprisingly supple and silky texture. NOTE: this was a Daily Drinkers selection courtesy of Justin Wells.

Uncorked and poured, this young premier cru Chablis is immediately aromatically expressive of lemon zest, Asian pears, wet stones, chamomile and ginger. Light golden, medium-bodied, crisply acidic and without detectable alcohol (13%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose, adding subtle notes of honey and coriander. With a backbone of chalky minerality, a dense mid-palate and lengthy finish, this is set up for success. Sure you can drink it now, but the best is yet to come! Patience (and proper cellaring) will be the key to the magic door. A higher score will likely be merited in the future. Drink 2025-2034.

Its on day three but it kinda smells like classic, mineral Chablis. More limestone and with a ton of texture to it as well.
