Nose of black cherry, birch beer, light oak and notes of toasted marshmallow.Polished dark black cherry fruit laced with spice, cola, vanilla, and sassafras and delivered with verve. Smooth tannins with fresh sage, purple fruit, dusty earth, blueberry, and a gentle jolt of acidity before the old oak kicks in. Impressive now and likely to age well, though not sure it will improve.

Deep ruby. Smoke meat and earth on the nose. On the palate very high acid, ripe cherries blueberries and blackberries, high tannin, medium+ body long finish. Agree with prior notes on the bracing acidty but Evangelho can hold this better than most and doesn't disappoint - best with a 60 minute decant. Great food wine.

A bit too much acid for my liking. Loved the nose of cherry, cedar and baking spice. Wanted to like it more but a bit too fresh tasting for me. Reminded me of the Sandlands Red Table Wine

Sweetness and spice, then, after a couple of hours it really became a stunner. Layers of fruit with deep savory undertones and a seemingly endless finish. Love, love.
