Vinefera Imports Tasting (Giovanni): An interesting dessert wine. Slightly oxidized. A bit sweet. This is almost a cross between a sherry and a Sauternes. Has some complexity. I would like a bit more acidity, but this was quite interesting.

Dried apricot, orange oil, liquid flower perfume. Oily and lower acidity with a luscious, voluptuous texture and loads of sugar, kind of like VT Gewurz without the exotic twist. Pretty tasty stuff.

2nd LI Blind BYO (Primi Italian Steakhouse Islip): A most enjoyable, easy to drink yet sophisticated wine. Slightly malty and not overly sweet.

Lovely dessert wine. Not too heavy. Massive apricot going on. Perfectly paired with vanilla gelato.
