Consistent with previous note but felt a little less balanced. Quite complex, just ripe fruit, some spice, and some slightly stalky or underripe notes which are perhaps a little more prominent than previously. Improves with air and gains a little palate weight which is welcome. Perhaps entering a less pleasurable phase than when younger? Does feel like it could age for 5+ years from now.

Original notes more or less hold true. It's interesting, and I would like to try some more Spatburgunder. I understand it can be pretty excellent. This just leaves a little to be desired.

Delicate nose of strawberry and chocolate. Not so delicate palate with high acidity and candy-like flavours. Round and reasonably full body. Medium length finish.

Feels satisfyingly old world in style, with just ripe fruit and some slightly stalky/green notes which are welcome and add freshness and structure. Also a layer of smoke and spice, which feels distinct but perhaps will meld with age. Cola/aniseed too perhaps? Crunchy palate majors on sour cherry, quite invigorating! Lots of acid. Very good value.

First German Pinot Noir. Great nose: tons of cherry and strawberry (I always get this strawberry candy note with Pinot, it's strong here), tobacco, forest floor, a touch of eucalyptus, and some unexpected minerality. The palate also leads with plenty of cherry and strawberry, and maybe a touch of underripe raspberry. More forest floor and some leather follow. Medium- tannins and medium+ acidity. Not bad for the price, but not particularly exciting.
