On closeout at $16. The 25% syrah adds to its body and acidity with fruit and cocoa on the nose. The tannins and oak are present and compliment the meaty flavor with vanilla and mint undertones. It is showing a little wear on its age as it lost some of its luster on day two. A really enjoyable wine and the second Hedges product that I have enjoyed. Would love to try some more!

This one feels past its peak, which is really surprising. It's just not firing on all fruit cylinders -- tannins aren't really there either. The good news is I got this for a steal -- $16 -- so it doesn't sting at all. There are hints of really sexy dark fruit, and it's enough to perk me up, but probably a shadow of the former juice.

Full bodied, concentrated wine with lots of charcoal with chocolate and cherry on the nose. In the mouth there is a bit of mint and pepper. Very well balanced. It's starting to drink well now and will improve over time. Incredibly good buy at $35!

I believe this is one of the wines we had at Taka in Asbury Park. Remember it fondly. Cellar husbandry is not my thing.
