Someone said “definitely needs food”? I guess they don’t like wine. 😁
This was quite nice. I tasted ripe quackenberry with notes of left handed baseball gloves and the rocks from the little creek that ran by my old house. Just kidding, it’s good wine and a repeat buy.

This opaque ruby wine was Vinturi-decanted and serially tasted over the ensuing three hours. Aromatically it offers a strong component of bramble leaf, with blackberry and blueberry fruit playing second fiddle. Full-bodied, fresh and without any heat from its 14.5% alcohol, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose, adding notes of nutmeg, cocoa and toasted oak. The wine's tannins are medium in weight but a bit grippy at this early stage. Solid in the middle and medium in length on the finish, this is a credible Paso Cab that will benefit from a bit more time in the cellar. If you choose to pop the cork now, give it plenty of air. Drink 2024-2034.

A solid value cab from Sextant. Delicious baking spices and vanilla. Yum.

I never tasted anything like it. It was like eating rye bread! Awful. Maybe it was a bad bottle, but nothing else was wrong with it.
