  • Prior bottle was 5 months ago and my notes were quite similar. White peach, floral and mineral notes on the nose. The ginger is still there, but moves more into the background as the wine warms. Still, not as pretty as early bottles, signaling the wine is clearly entering its next phase. Medium bodied with a fruit profile that continues to show apple, pear and white peach and retains good expression through the middle. Citrus and acidity behind continue to provide balance and structure. There's an intense little burst of acidity and citrus that leads the wine into the finish that contributes to complexity. Overall, while a small step down in complexity and vibrancy, this wine continues to show quite well. I'll plan to open my next bottle in Fall 2024.

  • Prior bottle was 6 months ago and this bottle was a small, but noticeable step behind my earlier bottles/tastings. Distinct ginger on the nose now along with white peach and light floral notes. Not quite as expressive as earlier. Medium bodied with white apple and pear upfront and adding depth and white peach through the middle. As with my prior bottle, did take some time open to fully come together (which I'll take as a positive, showing me the wine is still opening up and positively evolving, not ready to go from minute 1). Citrus notes on the backside were actually a little soft/overshadowed when first opened, but lemon in particular began to assert itself the longer the wine was open. Acidity provides the supporting structure, but not quite as vibrantly as previously. Overall, clearly still show quite well but it is evolving from its youthful, hyper-expressive phase to a more balanced experience. I'll plan to open my next bottle probably in Q2 2024.

  • Slightly different experience than previous bottle so not sure if it's in a bit of an in between phase but it seemed more tight and less fruit forward than my last bottle. Very dry and mineral driven on the palate. Still a nice bottle of riesling but was more enjoyable with food than on its own.

  • Tasted at the winery. Previously tasted from bottle 5 months ago and my notes were very comparable. Beautifully aromatic nose with white peach and white apple along with mineral and floral qualities. Medium bodied with white apple upfront, adding white peach through the middle with citrus and acidity behind and minerals through the finish. But beyond the defined fruit notes, there are plenty of nuances in how these notes both work with each other and how they work with the structural qualities. The harmony created allows the wine to show quite well and I'll probably open one of my bottles before the end of 2023.

  • Medium lemon color. Nose of ripe golden apple, hints of stone fruit, white florals, crushed rocks. Had a bigger aroma than expected. Similar flavors on the palate with orchard and citrus fruit with mineral undertones and a smooth, rounded mouthfeel. Not sure if this wine sees any neutral barrel or not? Medium+ acidity, medium body. Nice finish. Really well made bottle of riesling from another site in FLX that I had never heard of.
