  • Light brown color. Profound nose of ripe raspberries and alcohol. Sweet and tasty with a nice retaining wall of acidity, but that 19.6% is ever present. Even though this isn't ruby port, I think it still has room to improve with more time in the cellar. 5+11+16+8= 90

  • TL;DR: I can maybe sense good bones here, but right now this isn't ready to drink.

Popped and poured. The nose is rather pretty, but that palate is just so disjoint right now. I get some nice tawny fruit notes, but there is this biting streak of alcohol that overwhelms whatever traditional port taste you might expect. The finish is just pure booze and acid.

I had some really high hopes for this - hopefully a few more years of bottle age will help it out.

  • I like ports but do not have a ton of experience drinking them so take this review with a grain of salt. Good strong acid up front balances out the jammy raisin palate. Strongly alcoholic nose. Very tasty.
