Beautifull St. Emilion. Needing 1 hour decant at least. Very dark purple in the glass. Nice blackcurrant nose. In the glass strong fruit with a long, dry and tannic finish. This can keep for many more years on this level.

We drank this after a Cantemerle 2005, that outperformed this one (complexity and youth). I would say that this one is at peak, good nose, good fruit and a slightly dry, tannic finish. On the sweet side for a Bordeaux. I don’t expect any improvement anymore, but no rush in drinking required either.

Chateau was promoted grand cru classé in 2012. It’s 2005 vintage as a regular grand cru is drinking very nicely. Tannic, good fruit and long. Already good now, even better in the coming years.

Consistent tasting note - beautifull St. Emilion, very nicely situated in its drinking window.

Surprisingly good and got high marks (although it was served late in the evening, which helps) at our recent tasting. Drinking well and very good QPR.
