  • I'll continue to sing the praises of the quality coming out of Alta Langa. When you can find it, it is will worth the price under $30. Gives you the yeasty, toasted nuts character. Acid isn't super high, decent length finish. Great to have as a cellar protector.

  • Green apple skin and interior predominates, with bruised pear and biscuit. Some peach, strawberry, and blossom begin to emerge with air and slight temperature increase. Lively acid is pleasantly a touch less than I expected. Fine bubbles, nice medium mousse. 85% Pinot Noir; 15% Chardonnay. 36 months on lees. No oak. Next time I will open the bottle an hour before planning to drink, and pour a little to taste, then see how it has evolved in the fridge. Not 100% sure how well bottle was stored previously, but seems unaffected.
