Deep black-ruby solid color, fruit and dark plumb on the nose, black current, tabac, moderate tannins on the palate, very drinkable, very pleasant, a solid good French Cahor

Pleasant aperitif, but nothing more, a bit lacklustre really and for $17 there are many wines that offer more, understand how this region must feel 'ripped off' by Argentina, but frankly they do it much better - Dark, medium bodied with notes of plum, cherry, earth, leather and vanilla on the nose, balanced, yet lacking backbone, smooth and sweet on the palate with a short finish (82 Points).

Like a classic claret turning to clear at its edge, this medium bodied cahor shows a moderate ammount of red fruit, vanillia, orange peal and spice, with an undercurrent of bell pepper and bug spray. The pallate progresses with more red fruit, rusty nail, cream, fine drying tanins, clensing acidity, and just a hint of bitters. This modest, textbook wine is balanced and unassuming, possibly even boring.
