  • Decanted 1/2 bottle from Coravin. Tasted periodically. It was okay to drink after 3 hours (with some agitation along the way). At this point, the color of the wine is medium- garnet. The nose has limestone/ minerals, Bing cherries, and a hint of forest floor and a touch of smoke. The palate has a lot of minerality with a touch of red fruit, but is otherwise closed. Maybe more air would help with both the aromas and the tastes? The body is light with a nice acidity, and with a tannic edge/taut tannins. Of course it's very young yet. I'll try again with the other 1/2 in a few days and let it air for 6 hours. ABV 14%.
