Notes of capsicum and green peppers are underpinned with peppery notes and grippy tannins. The fruit is reminiscent of plums and leather but there is some fruit pastille character which I find a little confected and overly sweet. There is however decent balance and length and whilst the wine was on the good side of average I wouldn’t venture out for a second bottle.
