Popped and poured. Great right out of the gate. Gorgeous black ruby, with a violet-ruby rim. Fantastic. Big-time red legs. Rich chocalety, chewy, cocoa in the nose. Awesome. Big and rich in the mouth, a touch hot with alcohol, but not terribly distracting. I can see this easily becoming a star in CA. 5-13-17-8: 93/100.

A deep purple wine with a medium-high viscosity, almost oily and as inky as a petit shiraz. Beautiful spectacle.
Its high-intensity aroma introduces you to a mix of juicy plums and ripe blackberries. An easily identifiable toasty oak mingles with some sweet tobacco as a sigh of eucalyptus or menthol teases your nose from the background.
15.1% of alcohol that is barely felt in your throat most likely because of the excitement of such a well-balanced and rounded blend. Its structured tannins almost dance with its medium acidity and as a result, the finesse of this full-bodied wine is off the charts. Even though dry, by oxygenating the wine in your mouth you can actually taste the fruits. Next bottle to be open in at least 5 years. I cannot wait

Ripe and very dark upon opening. Almost black / purple. Immediate nose of plum, a bit of menthol and oak. First taste is intense fruit cake, almost zin like but then settles down to reveal layers of cabernet subtleties; plum, cassis and then cigar box / oak notes. Tannins still big, but not overly so. Lovely. Definitely more on the black fruit side.
