Agree with previous reviews...I wanted a bit more. Purchased at the winery and was very impressed with the tasting. Too bad..Josh and Mary sold out after many years of commitment to this terroir

I expected more flavor and depth with 5 years. Out of the bottle, charcoal and fruit was present thought flavor and fruit did not stay long on the palate or in the glass. I have been a fan of their pinot, not sure what is going on here. Want to 'redo' and see what develops.

Color: Violet at the core with a garnet rim at the edge.
Smell: Initially there was a strong odor of wood fire coals from a campfire. Eventually it opened up to offer scents of cedar, mocha, cassis, blackberries, blueberries, and a very...very faint vanilla bean.
Taste: Blueberries dominate the palate leading to flavors of blackberries, black currants, black cherries, and cedar along a medium-long finish.
Overall: An outstanding wine that has wonderful potential and could possibly improve with another year or two in the bottle. This was purchased from the winery in the winter of '07 and I wish I had bought more. The tannins are firm, offer good structure and there is plenty of fruit, acid, and glycerine to lend this wine to a long and glorious life...I would gladly buy more.

Wanted a bit more from it, bolder and more expansive tastes. Solid, a bit less on the palate than I wanted. Balance was good.
