Approximately one hour decant. Color: great, solid, dark, all the way to the rim. Nose: bright, slightly punchy, oak, licorice and pepper. Taste: the fruit has an almost Northern Rhone/Syrah taste. The licorice on the nose carries through to the mouth, with a little additional minerality. There's a ripe tree-fruit taste to the mid-palate. Wonderful Pommard-esque finish: rich, meaty and full

This is just a superb PN. Decanted one hour. Light, clear, garnet color with no bricking. Very slight fizz on pouring which goes away. Big pinot nose. Medium to light body. Taste is smooth, subtle, and elegant. It tastes like wine, not like berries or candy or anything else. Nice long finish. Slightly dry with still some tannin, so I expect it to still have good aging potential. I am sorry that it was my only bottle.

Red cherry aromas, very fresh. Same bright cherry on palate with spice hints. Good acidity and tannins give a slightly lean character for now, better after 2005.

Pillow soft entry and lush soft strawberry fruit with medium long finish. Showing more elegance than power.

Wonderful, but perhaps just over the horizon. No match when tasted side by side with the 2002.
