Community Tasting Notes (11) Median Score: 93 points

  • Nice complex nose with citrus peel, apple, and some floral notes. Green apple, lime, herbs and minerality on the palate. Medium acid, medium body, and a medium minerally finish.

  • Medium straw color; a touch of lime citrus on the nose.
Complex tart fruit notes up front: lime, mango and passion fruit, but there is a ton of oily (in a good way) minerality here as well. Despite the fruit on the front end, the interest this wine holds rests primarily upon the complex savory notes that defined the mid-palate and finish. Solid effort, and it is developing nicely.

  • Herbaceous, creamy & crisp style.
Med lemon. Pronounced. Green apple, lime, grass, mint, cream. Wet stones, hints of petrol. Chalky. High acidity, med alcohol (13,5%), med body. Long and fresh finish.

  • Opened for 30 minutes prior to tasting.

Medium straw color; light citrus/lemon blossom nose. Fantastic silky mouthfeel, quite distinctive. Notes of custard, pear, apple and a distinctive saline minerality dominate. This is a complex wine that rewards patient sipping as it evolves in the glass.

The only problem, as I see it, is that I am not exercising enough patience to refrain from drinking some of my bottles. I suspect that this wine has several years of development ahead of it, but it is hard to resist right now. I will try to stay strong!

  • Absolute mind bender of a wine. The best Fiano I’ve had and if money was never an issue I would buy a case a year. Yes it isn’t a cheap wine but it’s worth every penny just for the oily nuance that never once feels fat as Fiano occasionally can. Cellar it or drink it. It will never disappoint.
