Maybe it was the pairing, maybe it needed more time, maybe it’s corked, maybe it’s just a ho-hum wine. But whatever it was this wine just didn’t seem interesting or together. With mustard and olive crusted pork loin. The nose and fruit itself seemed dull. Some cherry and olive on the palate, but no real mid-palate or finish. No real musty cardboard apparent. Just an overall dullness to the wine. 12.5% alc.
