No detailed note made, but this bottle was absolutely on fire. Decanted (which I know is against instructions for this vintage!), and showing more intense and expressive than previous bottles (probably as a result thereof :)).
Stunning showing. Took it to a tasting and this absolutely stood out as one of the best wines. Give it some air to truly let this shine. Fresh and flinty and a nice bit of weight.
First experience with Morgen Long wines. Won’t be my last. Impressive wine(flavor profile) especially for US wines. Stunning acidity, mineral but plenty of depth. Needed some time in the decanter because the acidity was very prominent upon opening but evolved pretty quickly. Impressive stuff. I would say this has plenty of time but I understand Seth would rather see us opening 2020’s in the near future. We had this alongside a bottle of Chassagne Montrachet VV BY PYCM. I have to say that stylistically these wines are quite similar. So don’t tell anyone but I would stock up on these before it’s too late….

Discretely aromatic. Cirus. Lime. Some present but not distracting reduction. Nicely textured mouthfeel. Acid. Good grippy length. My wife - big Chablis fan - liked it very much.

Very pleasantly surprised by this wine. Crisp and flinty like a really good Chablis. Plenty of character and a distinctive wine
