I liked this better in its oaky youth. Now that it is tamer, more elegant and less oaky, it is just boring. Nothing distinctive at all. Dark red fruits, a bit of spice, decent balance and not much more. For Oakville, not good. Not a huge fan of the few Gott wines I've had.

Decanted for 1hour. Smooth on the palate with medium tannins. Notes of cherry on the nose and taste. Day 2 opened the nose was less fruit in the mouth with a more earthy taste.

I thought this was quite good. Generous oak.
