Two hour decant and - wow - a structured, generous, complex and classic cab. Served with chateaubriand on a special occasion dinner, for which this wine was very well suited. Drinking beautifully now, jammy and long. Notes of plum, dark cherry, coffee and tobacco. Same experience as others with disintegrating cork - take care, use long-worm c-screw and have the butler's friend ready.

Long finish. Great nose, dark fruit with hints of leather and coffee. Need to be careful as the cork is starting to disintegrate. Drink extremely well now!

Med deep ruby - now at hour four after decanting, it is jammy and reductive, with alcohol and stewed aromas alongside the ripe fruit notes - more or less the same on the palate, just a little OTT, lacking freshness and cut - flavour profile runs past ripe cassis to plummy and overripe, stewed notes - still some tannins on the back end which cinch up the finish - a bit disjointed - not bad, but not our style - actually tasted better before the decant.

Ray Sr. Would have been very proud of this wine Ray Jr. made for his dad. Gorgeous. Still full of fruit, yet jammy balanced fruit with plums.

This was especially good. After decanting, it was a very nice, big wine, jammy yet not too fruity. Just delicious. Only wish I had more!
