  This was very nice. Nuts, caramel, honey and citrus. Lovely rich mouthfeel and complex finish. Very enjoyable.

  Crazy good!
  In a world of Safeway wines, I must thank the gods of wine for Rare Wine Company, as they are the best of the wine world here on the West Coast.
  
  Bastardo, Reserva Especial is F***ING fantastic! Nose of delicious caramel, yoghurt with maple syrup, stinging alcohol, beeswax, some smoke which leaves my mind enjoying this immensely.
  
  Palate reveals more caramel of maple syrup on top of cream, smoky notes of honey, citrus, mead, but over all I'm left with the profound impression that Enki drank something similar to this 8,000 years ago and that this recipe was what was handed down from before the Younger Dryas from the Ancients of the Before Time.
  
  This 500ml bottle is number 501 of 2184.
  501 brings me to my early 80's with the Levis button fly, which was the jean of the day to be purchased too large then shrunk to fit. My size was 34x36.
  
  Excellent!
  Worth the price!
  Glad I purchased 3!
  
  Portugal does not release much of their good stuff to USA, but Rare Wine Co. has good persuasion skills!

  Medium dry style with flavours of nuts and toffee seasoned with spice and developing prune on the mid-palate through to a long finish. 92 pts
