2 hour decant. A big disjointed. Not big and flabby, but riper fruit than I expected with chocolate and blueberry showing through. Noticeable alcohol which never really blew off. Not sure if this one improves down the road.

Splash decanted but needed a few hours to open up. Screw cap.
Nose is not giving much. Barely picking up rich red fruits with a hint of VA or alcohol. Palate is medium body with an absolute kiss of glycerin. Nice depth of red fruits, purple florals, and very very subtle meaty richness. Finish briefly shows some gentle acidity before giving way to the same deep red fruits, violets/lavender, hint of potting soil, and something medicinal/herbal. Tannins are lowish but consistent with syrah/shiraz.
Not impressed. Feels slightly disjointed but might smooth out with time. Restrained compared to some AUS shiraz.
88 for now, could improve with age. Putting in the fridge and will check in tomorrow.
Day 2: a little bit more expansive on the palate but not much improved. Tastes like a cheap Aussie Shiraz. My 88 was generous.

This is more accessible than my last bottle. Luscious ripe black fruit complimented by smokey, spicy, savory notes and sweet oak (american and french). Superb value at $12..

Delicious !! This was much better than #279 to me - the 2 wines styles were very different for sure.
This one is big, dark, bold and rich is how I would describe this wine. Chewy and with great mouth feel to me. Jammy, plums, ripe & dark fruits, some floral/spice towards the end. Aroma of spices, some floral but it's the fruit, earthy aromas that stand out to me.
Overall this was just a luscious wine. Very easy drinker, pairs very well with food and now I am looking to buy more as I missed the warehouse sale on this one. :-(

Decanted 2 hours before. Was pleasantly surprised. Did not taste like a young wine. Tannins very mild. Dark purple. Pleasant bouquet of vanilla, oak, fruit. Medium body, restrained and elegant. Great with food. Low acidity, which matches well with some foods. Delicate, soft fruit. My type of Aussie Shiraz, to complement food, not to overpower it. My experience is that this type of Shiraz needs to be cellared or else the fruit will die quickly. If stored properly, will last 7+ years. If stored at room temperature, will last about 2-3.
