This was really clean and pure on night one and didn't hold up quite as well on day 2. Waxy and honeyed, with a natural edge, it feels pure and naked, although not quite as compelling as the other bottlings in the range. I'm the staunchest fan of Bernaudeau there is, but this cuvee was less exciting to me than his others.

This was really spectacular. Needed an hour or so in a carafe. Absolutely stunning intensity, saline, some wax, camomile, yeasty lemony notes, high acidity and intensity yet with such class that it stops just shy of becoming pushy.

A private dinner (Restaurant Bar Centraal, Amsterdam, NL): This really has the wow-factor. Perfectly natural and (but?) so pure and polished, yeasty depth, minerally and fresh but rich, effortless charm and elegance in spite of 14% ABV, understated and refined, creamy, flowing and long finish with the gentlest of bitters.
