  • A tired, but still alive, older Chianti Classico. Dried brush, mushrooms, dried cherries hiding in the background, with leather and soil more pronounced. Sometimes the nose can still be lively even if the palette is tired, but in this case, both were over the hill. Still, I enjoyed with a pulled pork sandwich and it still a nice glass to think about what was going on 44 years ago at Harvest when these grapes were picked.
