This was drinking really nicely 5 yrs in. One of the best American Cote Rotie style wines I’ve had. The classic characteristics are all there in terms of the meaty syrah and loads of complexity with herbal and earthy touches in there, and the only thing that calls it out is a touch of added ripeness and the texture is perhaps too silky, but that’s not a knock. It’s great and its own unique style that I really appreciate. This is my first AZ wine and it suggests there’s a ton of great potential in the state. Very cool wine.
