Sandstone Soils PN (v20, 13.5% ABV) - revisiting after a number of years. Beautiful pale ruby in appearance, fully translucent. Slightly reticent nose featuring raspberries, cranberries, orange zest, a tad of spice & smoke. Palate is light to medium-bodied, smooth yet with considerable elegance, ethereal in style, lacking a bit of fruit concentration - slightly diluted mouthfeel, distinct acidic structure, bitterness, closing juicy & dryish. Drink now.

Plum colour, rather brick-tinged for something so young. Moderate aroma, pleasant but fairly restrained, red fruit and maybe prune. Smooth, sweet taste, mildest silky tannin, almost too easygoing. A mulled character - soft spice - and blackberry. Nice but a quaffer and maybe overpriced on that basis? [unknown closure but not screwcap; 13.5% abv; Great Grog, £18.10].
