Wow. This could be the best Aussie merlot I have ever drunk? A complete surprise packet. Although only 4 years old does come come across like a 6yr - 7yr old. Very settled and nicely mature with dried herbs and savoury fruits across the nose and palate. A faint tinge of acid as well. Strictly medium bodied and the cabernet-like green fruits (very faint, not underripe) suit the structure beautifully. Best drinking over the next year or 2.

This was pretty good. Some well rounded fruit, with soft tannins. While it was easy to drink there was still some seriousness and good palate weight.
