Lime oil, white peach, petrol, daffodils and lots of spice. Almost a white pepper thing. Bone dry. I agree with others that there’s a bit of something almost astringent up front but I actually quite liked that. J did not but hey more for me. All in balance. I think this is a fine reisling.

Unscrewed and poured. Crisp aroma of grassy white fruit with a hint of petrol. Somewhat harsh flavors of stone fruit and minerals. Peach pit finish. Aggressive, firm backbone, somewhat unfocused. There's some good stuff in there but the whole is less than the sum of the parts.

Not the same level as the Knoll bottling I tried a few months ago, but still a good wine. Lime zest, nut skin, and some crunchy tree fruit provided aroma and palate interest. It was notably astringent on the palate, to the point of being puckery. Perhaps some age might loosen things up a bit. I don’t have enough background with these wines to know.

A bit more angular than the 2017, with less fruit and more searing lime-like acidity, but also a fairly clipped finish. Dry. Underripe peach on the palate. My first somewhat disappointing Red Newt bottling.
