  • A pale burgundy red, looking far more mature than a couple of years old.
Quite spicy, red fruit on the nose, predominantly sweet strawberries, with a hint of tomato.
Bright and fresh on the palate. Red fruit with some almost miso-like savoury notes. There's a bit of what I can only call spikiness to this: not noticeable acidity, but it sort of zips and zaps around the palate, with a little bit of alcoholic heat thrown in.
It's pinot noir, but burgophiles will hate it. I wouldn't say I actively love it, but it's certainly an attractive, very drinkable wine. Maybe a bit simple? There's not anything that makes you want to think about it.
    13% abv. Screwcap.
