Pretty dark, thick, and structured as DuMOL Pinots go, and that's a nice result here. Black licorice, red berries, "weed," and other green herbs mix well throughout. Despite the heft, it's not at all lazy; the buzzy acid makes it jump right off the tongue. To me, it's in the mold of the DuMOL Finn, which is one of my favorite Pinots. And it's an ideal autumn wine.

Decanted, but didn't sit for an hour. Tasted in fall 2022. Might be a bit young, although Dumol says drink from 2022. https://dumol.com/product/detail/DuMOL-Pinot-Noir-MacIntyre-Estate-Vineyard-2020/
C: Purple/magenta. Medium-dark. Clear. slow legs. S: Good fruit/earth balance at first, on the fruit side: strawberry/raspberry, some faint green freshness like eucalyptus or mint, maybe a hint of baking spices. T: Medium body, faint flavor to start, more flavor in the middle, long finish, mild citrus (toward the end), very watery up front, deeper berry flavor up front like plum-berry. Low-ish acidity and low-medium tannin, carmel on finish, R: It was fine. Probably won't buy again. But let's see what it's like when it's older.

I should have let this Opened 20min to an 1 hour before drinking. Had a woodsy, earthy smell and some fragrant flower but couldn't name it. The palate a little too sharp on tannis and acidity for what I thought should be smoother Pinot Noir. After about an hour it was more velvet texture. Vinter says okay to open early, I would recommend laying it down a few years.

Tasty red cherry and earthy aromas and flavors with silky smooth palate and refreshing tannins on the moderate-long finish.
