Community Tasting Notes (4) Avg Score: 91.3 points

  • Day 1: decanted. Little/no change over two hours. Light aromas/flavors of citrus. Very basic. CSIMM gave a good note, but his score seems generous. Drinkable now. Recorked 1/5 bottle to revisit. 89

Day 3: this surprised me, with more depth and a searing acidity. Faint nose of citrus and oak spice. Light-moderate lean flavors of lemon/lime with some added dimension from the oak, but I would not say oaky. 90+.

  • At Le Tertre in St. Emilion. Lemon and lime, with mineral elements weaving through the profile, this possesses nice verve, but a little less spunk than I would have imagined. Typical C-M shoulders on entry, but tapers off and becomes slightly diluted on the finish. This is a fine wine, but not one I’d necessarily go back to. Typical and predictable. Tastes like Chardonnay…

  • Very enjoyable Chassagne. Great freshness on nose, with dose of minerality, citrus and white flowers.

Richer style palate, coats the mouth well. Yellow and hint of stone fruits on the palate.

    Very good length.

  • Very mineral with some orchard fruit complexity. It slowly builds through the palate and is contained and compact. It has fabulous length and purity and should be a beauty given some cellar time.
